I have been in the automotive industry for 20 years. I am a master ASE certified automotive
technician. I started out working on my parents' and friends' cars at the age of 12. A family
friend had a small but bustling shop that took me under his wing and showed me how to repair
cars correctly. He seen I was very good at figuring out difficult car issues.

I just had a genuine love for motorized gadgets that spun into automotive repairs and custom installations. After years with him, I soon got a job at a GM dealership. As a senior in high school, I loved the job and worked my way up. They sent me to the automotive school CAP program at MATC, Mequon Campus, where I
graduated with my AA Degree in Automotive technology.
 

After graduating, I soon rose up in the automotive field from basic oil change guy to master
technician, worked for a few dealers, worked for a few franchises. As I worked for these different companies, I realized I did a lot of side work more than shop work over the years that brought me a huge customer base. Thats when the name Side Job Steve came into play.

I noticed a considerable number of people have their own mechanics and people who just want
to fix their own cars themselves, but there is no clean, safe place to do it. That is the reason I
created this business. SJS Automotive was not just for me; it was for every car enthusiast that wants
to work on their car in a safe heated, and cooled location with a few tools. It was for the guy at the auto parts store working on his car in the lot that couldn't get the job done, because he needed a lift to get the job done, it was for the person who was told they couldn't work on any cars at their job. It is an outlet for everyone who needs to work on the car, customize, or want an affordable master tech to fix their cars properly.
